Become a trusted advisor

Architects globally seek out AIA continuing education. AIA members overwhelmingly believe that courses from product manufacturers are the best way to learn. As an AIA CE Provider, you’ll establish your credibility and expertise as a trusted advisor, not just a vendor.

Engage effectively

Your participation provides opportunities for meaningful exchanges that expand AIA members’ knowledge and grow your collaborative potential. Connect with architects face-to-face, at live events, or online both nationally and internationally.

Leverage tools and resources

AIA members demand quality information and instruction, which is why AIA gives you the tools and resources that make it easier for you to develop highly effective courses and communicate with members.

Frequently asked questions
  • How can I become an AIA Continuing Education Provider?

Read through the AIA Standards for Continuing Education Programs to understand provider responsibilities and requirements and then complete the online application. Once we have processed and approved your subscription application and payment, you will receive access to the CE dashboard to submit your courses for review.

  • How are courses evaluated?

Courses need to address topics and content of interest to architects and the architecture profession. We evaluate courses against the AIA Standards for Continuing Education Programs to ensure their quality and appropriateness for AIA CE credit.

  • How long does it take to get courses approved?

We review courses within ten business days of submission. Typically, we complete reviews in four to seven days.

  • How many courses can I submit?

As an AIA CES provider, you can submit unlimited courses during your subscription period for no additional cost.

  • How long is my CE subscription valid?

AIA CE provider subscriptions run on a calendar year and are valid through December 31. Renewals for the next year typically begin in early September.

  • What are the different kinds of subscriptions?

Passport subscription: Used by most organizations, Passport permits online and live courses anywhere in the world.

Architecture Firm subscription: For architecture and design firms owned by an AIA member or with at least one principal who is an AIA member, Architecture Firm permits online and live courses anywhere in the world.

Professional subscription: For accredited academic institutions, government agencies, and nonprofits, Professional permits online and live courses anywhere in the world.

  • How much does it cost?

Subscription fees are based on the type of organization. Most organizations qualify for the Passport subscription. Nonprofits, academic institutions, and government agencies qualify for the Professional subscription, while architecture firms led by an AIA member qualify for the Architecture Firm subscription. Your provider subscription is all-inclusive. There are no fees for submitting courses or reporting attendance.
